Ministry Opportunity Descriptions
Potter‘s House (men’s rehabilitation ministry)
Several times a year, we take a group of men from the church to attend Sunday chapel service located a few miles from the church. This ministry is great for those who have a burden to encourage men struggling with addictions.
Go Team member
Beginning in the fall, our church seeks to fulfill the great commission by going out to the surrounding neighborhoods to invite people to church and look for opportunities to share the Gospel. The team will go out one Saturday each month for 1-2 hours. The goal is to reach the lost and unchurched in our community. (See Mark Reynolds for additional information)
Freedom That Lasts
Freedom That Lasts (FTL) exists to help equip churches desiring to reach those who are suffering and stuck in an addictive lifestyle. Volunteers with FTL are compassionate, committed, and consistent to the mission of seeing people find freedom in Jesus Christ. FTL takes place Friday nights from 7pm-9pm.
Good News Club
Each fall, winter, and spring, our church has the unique opportunity to lead an afterschool Bible club at South Jackson Elementary School. Volunteers need to have a heart for reaching children with the Gospel. The time frame for the club is 2pm-4pm on Wednesdays. The club starts mid-September and goes through April. (See Joanna Jennings or Karie Stinger for any questions)
Bus/Van Ministry
Volunteers ride the bus or van on Wednesdays to pick up children who do not have a ride to church. This ministry requires compassion, consistency, and patience. The timeframe for picking up children is 6pm-7pm and for taking children home after the church service is 8:30pm-9:30pm. For further information, please see Pastor Jennings.
Bus Driver
The Church Bus driver helps with transporting passengers for our church ministries. This may include picking up children for church and taking young people to activities or camps. This ministry requires a passenger CDL. Please see Jake Stringer for further details.
Bus Captain
Over the past 50 years, the bus ministry has played an important role in the evangelistic efforts of CCBC. This ministry requires a compassion for kids, a commitment to ride the bus for pickup and drop off, and genuine heart to see this ministry continue for the glory of God. The Bus Captain leads in prayer, songs, and games on the bus. For more information, please see Pastor Jennings.
Bus Helper
The Bus Helper assists the Bus Captain with leading games, songs, and helping the bus riders to be encouraged, safe, and respectful.
The Oaks (assisted living ministry)
Every 2nd Sunday of the month our church gets to go to the Oaks to lead a church service with the residents. These elderly men and women are precious, and it is a joy to encourage them in the Lord. We sing hymns, greet the residents, our church kids provide special music, and one of our men bring a message. For further information,
please see Michaela Willson.

The volunteers for communion preparation are required to come in a couple of hours before the service and place the juice and wafers in the appropriate place. For further questions, please see Mark Reynolds.
Bereavement Meals Ministry
When one of our members suffers the loss of a loved one, we get the opportunity to show sympathy and compassion by preparing a meal for the family. Background checks are required for all those working with children at CCBC. For further information, please see Joanna Jennings.
Audio/Visual team
